Review - Jane Scrivner Skincare

This brands philosophy is to create natural, organic skincare solutions that use the nutritional elements of plants to strengthen the self-restoring intelligence of our own skin.

These products are made with natural ingredients that mimic the biochemistry of the skin. This brand believes that skincare is not having great skin but having strong healthy skin that can fight off bacteria and environmental enemies on a daily basis. It’s about having skin that restores, replenishes and protects itself and shows that off.

The Jane Scrivner journey starts with their skincare 5 a day, 5 products to bring your skin to its healthiest self. These 5 steps are:
  • Cleanse
  • Exfoliate
  • Hydrate
  • Nourish
  • Protect
At Jane Scrivner it’s not about solving a skin issue, it’s about fixing the root cause. They believe that you can trace many skin issues back to the imbalance or compromise of the skins fundamental physiological functions - the microbiome mantle, the acid mantle and the barrier function.

I personally use two products from this brand, Bioluronic buzz hyaluronic acid and UN condition facial oil.

Bioluronic buzz hyaluronic acid is a bio-fermented hyaluronic acid which makes it a totally natural hyaluronic acid from a plant origin. It also contains Spilanthes Acmella which is said to be nature’s natural Botox as it is a mild muscle relaxant. It also contains Aloe Vera, Salix Alba bark (natural BHA salicylic acid) and Frankincense which promotes replacement and regeneration of healthy skin cells.

The second product I use by this brand is the UN Condition oil. This oil is recommended for people who suffer from skin conditions such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea. This product contains Argan oil - not the same as the oil used in the hair market. Organic Argan oil is very nourishing and anti-inflammatory.
Frankincense promotes the regeneration of healthy cells. I mainly use this product in combination with a Gua Sha, as I have extremely dry skin it’s very nourishing.

Other products that are lovely are:

Intense oil - pure Rose Hip oil which naturally has higher levels of vitamin A, C, D, and E. and full of essential fatty acids and antioxidants.

Cleansing balm - contains jojoba oil which is suitable for all skin types. This contains beeswax but they also do a vegan version made with rice bran wax.
This brand is a luxurious and vegan alternative for those who are into luxury skincare but prefer a more holistic approach.
